No more swaps (sad face)

Two out of two swaps failing for me ain't a good enough statistic.  I set myself various goals at the start of each year and one was to take part in a swap. Well, I have tried, and failed. Not my fault.

You may remember I took part in a resin swap earlier in the year. I duly sent a rather magnificent package to Australia. Unfortunately she did not return the favour. Pennydog, who organised the swap did send me some lovely things (including a rose ring and a resin mould) so I didn't feel left out, but I just didn't feel like I'd participated properly.

So, next, the Perfect Package Project caught my eye. I was assigned a partner and emailed her to find out her interests etc. She replied, but then when I asked for her address to send the package she didn't reply. So that's that! I have barely any spare time at all, and I'm certainly not wasting any more... shame, as it all sounded so much fun...

... busy busy working towards CRAFTACULAR!! Woo!

That is terrible Rowan I hate it when people do not send out swap stuff :-( You shouldn't give up though - why don't you arrange your own swap? It might be fun, I'd take part x

That's rubbish news! Not good etiquette at all. :(

aww that is crappy. I have had good luck with most of the swaps I have done. perhaps you could still do one on one swaps with people? ones that you contact and contact you back. Its a shame to have to miss out on something that can be very rewarding. Shame on the ones who didn't bother to commit to the swap. they missed out on something special.

I think it's shocking...swaps are SO much fun but really get's you down when the other person doesn't play nicely.

I'm organising a Bird Swap at the minute - do you want to restore your faith in swaps- there's another lady that's had similar experience as you- I could pair you up?

Keep smiling though and sorry about the bad experience.

{Discovered you via Meridian Ariels Blog Roll - just signed up for her Book swap}

My last swap ended up with an envelope with lots of random bits of scrap paper...I was like hmmm!
And I made a little personalised booklet for her as well, put me off too.

Aw I'm so sad for you:( I definitely feel your pain. I just sent off my perfect package project box to Australia today and so far the girl I've been in touch with is just incredible and I've got a feeling that we'll stay in touch for ages after! So keep heart and try another one, it's worth it if they work right?

Loving your work by the way, Libby tipped me off and bought me the summerfling necklace for my bday and I practically sleep in it, it barely leaves my neck! x
